Abstract art in painting insists on not representing tangible reality.
The artist uses matter, lines and colours for themselves. Works are made up:
-by either simplifying and transforming natural shapes, even so far as eliminating any possibility of recognition.
-or by mental construction, with or without geometry,
- Finally, by instinctive gestures.
The process of creation always is an interaction between the artist and the work being developed. This confers to his work an objective and independent reality.
Abstract art fascinates spectators because it enlarges the scope of their perception.

What attracts me is the fascination coming directly from the objective reality, which is obviously the case in traditional photography.
Do not try recognition……..."the subject does not matter anymore" (G. Apollinaire)
